What to Expect

Boys Team athletes train in a structured, focused environment that emphasizes strength, discipline, and technical precision across all men’s gymnastics events. Practices are demanding and require consistent effort, attention to detail, and a willingness to be challenged, as athletes train 3–6 days per week depending on level.

Coaching within the Boys Team is supportive, engaged, and highly invested in each athlete’s progress. Our coach is passionate and holds athletes to high standards, providing direct, honest, and frequent feedback to help boys understand expectations and continuously improve. While training can be tough and expectations are clear, instruction is rooted in care, encouragement, and a genuine commitment to each athlete’s growth and success.

As athletes progress, they are expected to take increasing responsibility for their training, attitude, and preparation. This program requires strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and family support, and is best suited for athletes who thrive in an environment that values effort, accountability, and long-term development.

Boys Gymnastics Team Placement

The Boys Gymnastics Team is a competitive, high-commitment program and participation is by invitation only. Team placement is determined internally and is offered when an athlete demonstrates the appropriate skill readiness, consistency, focus, maturity, and ability to meet the physical and training demands of competitive boys’ gymnastics, and when space is available.

IK Gymnastics offers structured recreational and developmental boys’ programs designed to build strong fundamentals and prepare athletes for future opportunities. Participation in Boys Recreational Gymnastics does not automatically result in an invitation to the Boys Team. Competitive team participation requires a significant increase in training commitment from both the athlete and family.

Due to limited team space and the structured nature of the program, families are contacted by IK Gymnastics only when an athlete is ready to be considered for Boys Team placement. To ensure consistency and protect coaching bandwidth, team inquiries are not handled through general email requests.
